ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Jewelry Designs by Opal is the creation of Opal Gibson - a Hotel Sales and Marketing Consultant -President of Hotel Marketing Strategist (www.HotelMarketingStrategist.com) and ex- Hotel Sales and Marketing Director who also finds time to explore her more creative side by practicing ballet, jazz and tap dance a few times a week and performs twice a year.
Opal began exploring her creative interests in making jewelry in March of 2010 when she had a scheduled 14 hour flight to the to the Far East and her concern for actually passing the time by doing something creative and productive during that long trip.
After her return she founded Jewelry Designs By Opal after continuing to take several jewelry classes and making jewelry for friends and family members.
Her designs are centered around precious and semi-precious stones set in sterling silver, gold and Swarovski and Chez crystals and beads.
Opal started the original Opal Collection in April of 2010 and then later launched The Opie Collection in December of 2010 and the Timeless Collection in January of 2011.
The Opal KIDIE Collection was recently launched in October of 2012.
Opal gets her inspiration from her travels and from her everyday life.
Her collection of Jewelry can also be founded at Mercedes Benz of Fort Lauderdale and other select stores in Fort Lauderdale. She also customizes designs for every occasion including wedding parties and other special occasions.
Opal is Jamaican born, a who lives in Fort Lauderdale with her husband Vince and spends her time between her Hotel Consulting business - Hotel Marketing Strategist - using her skills and over 17 years experience as a Hotel Marketing Executive to bring targeted Boutique Hotels around the world and also her marketing agency - Advanced Marketing Results. Even with her busy schedule she still finds time to pursue her love of dance, especially ballet and performs at least twice a year.
